Peter Pan, held March 31 and April 1 at the Performing Arts Center.
The Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards Showcase is Monday, June 5 at the Civic Center. Tickets to the showcase are $15 can be purchased at

Peter Pan at the IHSMTA Showcase on Monday, June 5. She will also perform in a medley.
Amani Al-Rashid, Karley Whelchel, Madison Mason, and Taylor Eppert will be performing along with students from other schools in the opening medley of the Awards Showcase.
As a recipient of an “Outstanding Performance” award, Breanna Penenger has qualified to participate in the Triple Threat Award program, and will audition to represent the state of Iowa at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York City! Participating students will receive coaching on a musical theatre solo, perform their solo in front of a selection panel, as well as work with a guest Broadway director and Broadway choreographer to put together a medley with other Triple Threat students, to be performance at the IHSMTA Showcase on June 5 at the Civic Center. Based on solo performances, coaching sessions, and the group rehearsal process, one male and one female actor will be chosen to receive the Triple Threat Award, and will represent Iowa at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. The recipients will be revealed during the Awards Showcase event.
The National High School Musical Theatre Awards is a national celebration of outstanding student achievement in high school musical theatre. One actor and one actress from Iowa will join student nominees from across the country to experience the opportunity of a lifetime and to perform on a Broadway stage. Students will take part in a rigorous, 9-day experience that features individual vocal and acting coaching by Broadway industry professionals, visits from special guests, discussion with working actors, a night out in Times Square for dinner and a Broadway show, and a session with a Broadway casting agency. On Monday, June 26, students at Nationals will perform in The Jimmy Awards showcase at the Minskoff Theatre, the home to DISNEY’S THE LION KING on Broadway.
